Washing Machine Descaler
No, Scrubsy Washing Machine Descaler tablets are unscented. They work by dissolving buildup and eliminating odors at the source rather than masking them with fragrance.
Yes! Our descaler tablets are compatible with any style, brand, or color of washing machine including:
- Top Load washers
- Front Load washers
- High Efficiency (HE) machines
- White interior drums
- Stainless steel interior drums
Place the cleaning tablet directly into the washer drum. Do not place it in the detergent dispenser tray — the tablet needs direct contact with the drum surface for maximum effectiveness.
Run your washing machine on a "normal" wash cycle with warm or hot water. If your washer has a "clean washer" mode, use that instead for best results. Select the "large" load size setting so your washer fills with the maximum amount of water.
For a regular cleaning schedule, we recommend using one tablet twice a month — or whenever your washing machine isn't smelling as fresh as it should. Each box contains 24 tablets, providing a full year of clean.
If your washer is very dirty or hasn't been cleaned in a long time, it may take more than one cleaning cycle. Over time, grime can really build up — sometimes it takes multiple cleanings to loosen and remove it all.
We recommend running a second cleaning cycle if you aren't pleased with the results after the first use. Only use 1 tablet at a time; do not use 2 tablets in a single wash.

Simply drop one pod into your garbage disposal, turn on a slow stream of warm water, and run the disposal for 15–20 seconds. The foaming action will clean the blades and walls of your disposal unit.

We recommend cleaning your garbage disposal once a week for optimal freshness. If you use your disposal heavily, you may benefit from cleaning it 2–3 times per week. Each box contains 24 pods for up to 1 year of clean.
